Make Money Online, Travel as Much as You Want, and Pay Down Debts Faster
People who choose to be a digital nomad are location independent and work remotely via the internet, rather than being physically present at a company’s headquarters or office.
And like us, many digital nomads don’t have a fixed address, either.
To achieve financial freedom, many digital nomads travel full-time –living in places where the cost of living is lower, while earning a higher value currency than the one they use day-to-day.
For instance; earn US dollars online to fill out your bank balance, while spending pesos or Thai baht to pay the rent and buy your groceries.
This is called “geo-arbitrage” and it’s the secret to getting ahead financially, reducing risk, paying off debts faster, and saving for an earlier retirement.
This blog is a product of everything I’ve learned by living a nomadic lifestyle and making money online in one form or another for almost 20 years.

So, You Want to Be a Digital Nomad?
Our first guide in this series is my take on the digital nomad lifestyle after dozens of personal calls with Hobo readers, and being location independent for over eight years –two decades if you count my constant re-locations in Canada before picking up a one-way ticket to Thailand.
In this introduction you’ll find out what it takes to become a digital nomad.
Pull out a notebook and brainstorm which accounts you’ll need to set up in advance, what you’re looking for in a destination, what gear you can’t live without, and your projected monthly budget.
If you want to be a digital nomad, this guide will help with much of the heavy lifting.
